Airfoil 5.6.2
- Major Enhancement: Capturing audio from the Windows Store versions of Spotify, Groove, and iHeartRadio should now work as expected, thanks to necessary special-casing for these apps
- Critical Bug Fix: Full compatibility with Windows 7 has been restored
- Critical Bug Fix: Audio capture from physical input devices should once again work without any distortion

Airfoil 5.6.1
- A tremendous amount of effort has been applied to many areas of Airfoil for Windows, to fix all sorts of small issues and rough edges
- Critical Bug Fix: Capturing audio from both Chrome and Firefox should now work correctly. Additional work is in progress to better handle audio coming from multiple tabs
- Critical Bug Fix: Capturing audio from Spotify (direct download version) should once again work correctly for all users
- Bug Fix: The audio pipeline has been improved, to provide more consistent audio in all conditions
- Bug Fix: Updates have been made to improve the reliability of connections with Apple TVs, Sonos and other third-party AirPlay devices, and ChromeCast hardware
- Bug Fix: Airfoil Satellite: Bluetooth and Chromecast devices will now correctly appear in the “Remote Speakers” section

Airfoil 5.6
- Major Enhancement: Airfoil now supports streaming to Sonos's AirPlay compatible devices, including the Sonos One, Beam, Playbase, and the second generation Play:5!
- Additional third-party AirPlay devices which have been updated for AirPlay 2 support, including those from Denon, Libratone, Marantz, and more, are also compatible with Airfoil.
- Major Enhancement: Airfoil now supports streaming audio to AirPort Express units running the new 7.8 (AirPlay 2) firmware.
- Critical Bug Fix: A problem where CPU usage could spike when capturing certain kinds of audio, including from Spotify, Chrome and other apps, has been fixed.
- Critical Bug Fix: An issue where some apps could disconnect suddenly, resulting in a loss of audio streaming, has been fixed.
- Bug Fix: A version numbering issue has been corrected, so future public previews will properly update.
- Other: Several small interface improvements were made in the Source selector.


Airfoil 5.5
- Major Enhancement: Airfoil now offers support for streaming audio to Google Chromecast devices, as well as third party Cast-enabled TVs and speakers!
- Major Enhancement: Airfoil also now offers full support for Apple's HomePod speaker!
- Major Enhancement: Modern incarnations of Firefox are now fully supported, including when playing audio via Flash. The Opera browser is now fully supported as well.
- Critical Bug Fix: We've fixed several issues where Chrome audio might not be properly captured. If you had issues capturing from Chrome before, please try this version.
- Critical Bug Fix: Streaming to password-protected HomePods and Apple TVs is once again fully supported, which was briefly broken by updates made by Apple.
- Enhancement: Syncing has been improved, with a re-sync now occurring every 90 minutes to avoid issues with drift, a new sync engine for all device types, and updates to the audio pipeline..
- Bug Fix: This update works around a bug in Apple's tvOS 11.3 which caused muted audio to incorrectly play from the Apple TV.
- Bug Fix: An issue where audio capture of Spotify could fail has been corrected.
- Bug Fix: Improvements have been made for multi-channel audio.
- Bug Fix: Many additional bug fixes and improvements have been made.
